There is no other life on other planets. He has to get this one cleaned up first. Surely common sense must tell you that the conditions on other planets make life impossible. We need oxygen and hydrogen in just the right amounts plus water and protection from the sun you won't find this on other planets, earth is the prototype there is not another planet like ours. Why would he make another, he has enough problems with us, but in a short while he will be putting this right. Check your bible.

When the Bible talks about man being "made in their own image", but is referring to the man being made as a triune being (3 in 1) same as God. It says He formed a body from the elements of the earth, then He breathed into a the breath (also translated spriit) of life, and the results was a living soul. Three "beings" (body, soul and spirit) that make us one person.
If God were to create life elsewhere (and He did in a least one other place - heaven) then if He wanted that creation to be "in His image" also, he could make in a triune being regardless of the shape, size or color of the body.

Well, I have pondered such things. We do not know about other worlds. God doesnt have to let us humans know everything. The Word of God does say that God created humans in the likeness of Himself. I suppose there could be other realms with different creations. We know that Heaven is a different realm and there are fantastic beings described all through the Bible. Read Ezekiel, the beginning few chapters, and marvel at the descriptions of God and His Court. Totally cool.

As one responder says, i also belive it is quite possible that there is life on other planets, in other solar systems. Nothing in scripture says this is not so. That does not preclude us believing in creation. Who says that life on other planets does not look like us? God could well have created in his own image on more than one occasion.
As to the comment about the Jewish God making the Christian God, There is only on God. The God of the old testament Jews. When God sent his son Jesus to earth, the Jews rejected him, the gentiles accepted him, and began referring to themselves as Christians.

Jake,
For an interesting read on this subject, and a great many others, check out the Urantia Book. You can find the entire text on-line. According to that book, the universes, are indeed populated with a great many different species and races of beings, at every stage of planetary evolution. Some, far in advance of ours, and some, at the beginning of their existence. I am not quite sure what to think about this book, but it will certainly make you think.

Well, if God created life, and we find life on another planet then yes we would change our beliefs to think that God created them also. However that doesn't mean he would have created them in their own image. They could have been or not. The shocking part would be to find out that God created them and they created us. - Wouldn't that throw a monkey wrench in our belief system?

I totally believe there is life out there. And yes I also totally believe that God made that life. As to whether or not it was made in his image, well only he knows, Either way, he is an awesome God.

If we find other beings, then God made them. But I see nothing in the Bible to support extraterrestrial life.

If the "Christian" God is the same as the God of All, then yes, why not? That God can do anything.
