The thinking or saying of men, even old men, do not change reality.
Teenagers of this generation must be smarter than teenagers of the previous generation, because all men have been created to carry out an ever-advancing civilization. If many of them trust in God, that is far better.
Pray God to guide you ahead.

Ok...I am assuming that you meant for teenagers to answer this. How about hearing from the other side? I am a 54 y/o grandmother so I think it qualifies me for "the other side".
We older people dont think teenagers are dumb. In fact you are a little too smart sometimes. You are exposed to things that in my youth were not even discussed among the young. Technology has put the world at your fingertips. Both the best and worst of this world.
That being said, EVERY teenager goes through a period where they realize they are no longer a child, thus, in their minds qualifies them as an adult. Opinions among the youth are usually strong and passionate. The problem is that you lack the experience to back up the opinion with fact in many cases.
There is an old saying,"the older I get , the smarter my parents get". This is true. Once I got married and had my own kids, I could see my parents had some wisdom after all.

First, you need to define older people for me.. I'm 53, and I know that there are teenagers who believe and trust in God. But, you also have to know that we see a lot of what the teens are doing and have to be a little curious.
It's our mission in life to worry about the younger folks, even people above being teenagers, and frequently, we have to worry about those who are much older than that.. so, yes, we may get that mistaken belief, like teens do, that not everybody is as understanding as we are, but, we also have to realize that, just as often, some may be more understanding.
May God Bless and Keep you.

Trusting in god does not necessarily make you smart.
Being Smart, Having Intelligence, Acquiring Knowledge, Acting with Wisdom - all these things are necessary on the road to enlightenment BUT they are NOT all the same.
Teenagers lack the experiences in life that teach Wisdom. Some Older people lacking Wisdom make statements about younger people in order to make themselves appear to be wise.
But a truly enlightened person knows that if given the time and space young people will grow in wisdom.

If you ask me (which you do by coming on here) then trusting in god is the opposite to smart. If teenagers want to look intelligent, then they can use their brains to look at facts and hard evidence as opposed to trusting in something that simply isn't there.

Well just because you trust in God doesn't mean that you can't be mislead when you don't have as much life experience as some. It's all about experiencing life and learning from the mistakes that you make or the mistakes from others. Maturity has nothing to do with age either.

I know how smart & intelligent teenagers are. I have a 17 yr. old son. We could all learn from teens. Not all teens are bad just like not all adults are bad. I remember what it was like to be a teen & that helps me to better understand teens. And it is such a huge plus if a teen (or anyone for that matter)knows & has god in their heart & lives !

1. Devotion to God has nothing to do with intelligence.
2. Age has nothing to do with intelligence.
3. It's not that teenagers aren't intelligent, but that they have no judgement, and have a sense that they are immune from harm.
Your post is confusing, to say the least.
