It's the idiot's litigious society in which we live, I'm afraid. It's not as bad as the warning on a hot air paint stripper which said, "Do not use for drying hair, or attempt to look down barrel when in use". I ask you!

Coz legally they have to print that on anything with nuts - even a packet of nuts! - as so many people have deadly nut allergies.
Seems random I know but that is the weird laws they dream up in this country

You would think a person who could not recognize nuts in there natural state would be too stupid to read. I assume a lawyer is involved. But please don't put down people who have allergies to nuts. When I was a child a girl in my scout troop had them. At a birthday party she got a chip of a peanut, not even a whole one on her ice cream and whop! couldn't breathe and turned blue and the rescue services had to be called. Pooped the party for sure. Made a real impression on 11 year old me. Cut people some slack OK?

If you are buying lots of products for your flat, this acts as one further measure to prevent nuts being brought into the house which can be lethal to one's flatmate. It's just a reminder, another safeguard.

There is always someone looking to sue someone. And yes there is someone out there that would say " DA I wonder if this stuff contains nuts, you know I'm allergic to nuts"!!

It does seem silly, but its law that food companies put warnings on anything that contains nuts.

Yes, but to avoid frivilous lawsuits by idiots who are allergic to nuts, but buy these, it is added to the label. However, my favorite is listed on brands of sanitary napkins..."If you don't know where your vagina is..." LMAO!
