Just ask 'is this distance thing bothering you?'
Telling him how you feel depends on if its something he will want to hear, and sometimes you can plan exactly what you are going to say, pick up the phone - and then disaster...you say the wrong thing.. Why not just ask him on the phone if distance is a problem, and then depending on his answer, mail him so it's all written down in a straightforwardway and he can read and re-read as often as he likes.
Good luck!

then why dont you go see him if you love him, if you want to b with him just tell him. long distance relationships are really hard sometimes I was in one for two months with my fiancee but we saw each other after 2 months, have fun just talk to him, ask him if he wants children.

Just come straight out with it, otherwise it will bug you forever until you say what you need to

Be straight out. Men don't understand women's "hints", or mis-interpret them, but try not to sound confrontational.
