For a boyfriend, a shirt, some cologne, maybe take him out somewhere nice. For a guy friend OR boyfriend, get him a CD or DVD he likes, a funny t-shirt, gift card to Best Buy (or his favorite store), a poster of his favorite band or a funny poster, or if you're really stumped, take him shopping and let him pick something (thats what my husband and I do for each other when we want something that the other isn't willing to pick out--like shoes-- or we just dont know what to give the other person).

What is the age of the guy? Since I am not sure I will just suggest something that would be age appropriate for all guys...take him to dinner (or make dinner)and give him a gift certificate to his favorite store.

Home Dpeot gift cards, tickets to a sporting event (don't get your feelings hurt if he doesn't take you- consider it a girl's day out),night of stuff he likes to do and you pick up the tab.
