The Bible says that when we die we will face God on Judgement day and give an account of every thought word and deed. The Ten Commandments will be Gods standard, and If we Have lied or stolen or looked with lust God should punish us in a place called Hell. But Jesus christ suffered and died to tak eht punishment you deserve for your sins. Have you repented and put your faith and trust in Jesus? Are you ready to face God on Judgement day?
I would like to know your view on this question.

Please, if you will simply repent(turn from sin) and trust Jesus alone as your savior, God will forgive you and grant you eternal life. please, make sure you do it today, we dont have any assurance of tommorow.

I am ready. The 10 commandments are the standard, but there's more. There are different things God expects from us that are not in the 10 commandments. If a Christian is not ready, they need to inspect their heart and confess any lingering sin (even though sin is constantly there-if you ask for repentance it will be forgotten by God, though you know its there). God will prepare our hearts for our time to leave this earth.
There was a person who said that there is no hell, but there is. God is a jealous god and when Lucifer claimed to have more power, God banished him to Hell. If people do not choose God, they choose the world, and sin is of the world. God cannot let someone into Heaven who doesn't believe in him.

"Dying for sins" is such a inane concept. It's juvenile, superstitious and just plain silly. No one can "die" for anyone else. And no one can take anyone's "sins" (wrongdoings) away.
Doing wrong is not explained by the presence of something -- it's an absence of something -- a non-thing, it's a negative, a void, an emptiness. What is called "evil" is the absence of knowledge, the inability to know better.
The only thing that stops a person from doing wrong is gaining the wisdom to know it's wrong. The only thing that stops a "sin" is enlightenment --- comprehending why it's wrong to to that particular thing. But Christianity began on the premise that people are stupid, and that 'God' isn't much brighter.
The essence of the true 'God' is truth and discovery, living and learning. The rabbi Jesus tried to teach that, but Christianity made him a cover boy martyr for the mythological religion Paul created.

Has anyone here tried to make earth a better place to live?
Isn't that what true Christians should try to do every day of their lives?
When my turn comes, I face the Maker knowing I did nothing to hurt my fellow man, and if that doesn't satisfy the basics of the Ten Commandments, then I guess I will head south.

End of times - How can I be ready?
As a Christian, I do not have to fear the end of times. God has told me no one can snatch me from His hand (John 10:28) and He has given me knowledge and instruction in His Word so that I can be prepared and ready for the end of times. I know that the outcome is already decided. Our Lord and Messiah will win the battle and slay the enemy with the Word of God (Revelation 19:15).
Not knowing the day or the hour (Matthew 24:36, Mark 13:32) of the end of times, I must be about my Father's business every day. Readiness comes from my spending more time with God, studying His Word, talking and listening to Him in prayer, following His instruction to "act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God" (Micah 6:8), prepare by following His commandments (Nehemiah 1:5, John 14:23-24, 15:10) to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind" (Matthew 22:37) and to "…Go and make disciples of all nations…" (Matthew 28:19-20) so that others may be brought into the kingdom of God before the end of times are upon us and it is too late.
I am to prepare to spend eternity with God, ready to worship Jesus, the coming King, in Spirit and in truth, by worshiping Him now.

Yes.
I agree the standard is the ten commandments.
Most of commercial Christianity obeys the 9 commandments. They generally "forget" the fourth commandment which ironically has the word "remember" in it.
God said "remember". He knew we'd forget.

I don't take the Bible quite so literally since it has been copied, changed, translated and re-worded several times.
I believe that on the other side of death we will judge ourselves and hold ourselves accountable for our behavior over here.
Life in this plane of existence is like school - a place to make mistakes, learn from them, and move forward on the path to enlightenment.
I alone am responsible for the consequences of my actions. I am my own judge. Paul of Tarsus said to Judge Yourself lest others judge you.

You have much to learn and so little time to learn it.
It is by the whole of the LAW that you will be judged, not just the 10 commandments!
And the question is not do you know Christ for the whole of the world knows Christ, but does Christ know you?

I do repent every day, sometime more than once just to be sure. It's so hard to stay on that thin narrow path, and when your balance is off, it's just that much harder. So, I have to repent more than once.
Thanks for the reminder that I need to start today off on the right foot, before I go to Church!!

Yep, I'm ready.. that's why I'm here at this hour of the morning, on Yahoo Answers, passing the word on to the unbelieving world that they might be in heaven with us, even those who foolishly feel that they are in control of their thoughts and minds.
May God Bless and Keep them.
