Perhaps we both are tired of complaints that we are being disrespectful. But I add that if you look I do try to be respectful and inclusive in most of my posts.

You're sounding like Jim Darwin with the "polite and respectful question" thing!

Well, I have to admit I live my life for myself, largely as there is no higher power I owe my allegiance to. Although that sounds selfish, I think that if you say you live your life for your friends and family (which I could say I do) you really get so much back from them that at the end of the day you are really just benefiting yourself.

Goals, purposes? I think I'm struggling to do the best I can really. I have my career, which I'm committed to, and I try to do my bit to help others. But I can't honestly say that I think that I have one overarching purpose. And I don't believe that life does have an overarching purpose - any purpose has to be created by the individual...

Bit of a vague answer, but I think I got there in the end.

Edit: Sorry, I wasn't being critical. I completely agree that you are inclusive, polite and respectful in your questions - that's why I answer them. I honestly meant no offence.

Me?

This will sound a little strange, but it is a long mathematical & statisitcal application to an accurate model of the world.

It means stuff like "Be nice to everyone" but mostly it cannot be put into words. The one thing it is, though, is accurate empirically but refers to things like emotions and morals, sets out goals on what I need to do with other people (make everyones life a little better if I can - though there is a lot more to it than that) and also says how to do this.

I rather like it.

By the way, have a nice day!

I am yet to achieve anything though I am already half way through life. I have dreams of serving my people and being respected by them as a leader. It would take a lot of hard work and money to achieve that if everything else works out ok.

Your ambition is quite commendable. Keep it up. Have a good day......

I live my life to become a better person. Self-improvement. Being a better person also means being compassionate to others and helping those in need. I believe in reincarnation, so I know that each life is there to help you understand Life better and reincarnation shows me that all things, even this life, are temporary. This helps me to focus on the being that I am, how I relate to my fellow humans, and how I relate to the world around me. I live for the teachings of the Buddha.

I cannot better describe the way I try to live my life. " I live my life for God and my family. I try to love and serve Him through love and service to my fellow man". And to learn more, and to be useful for the others.
I hope I can be the person my God likes.

I want to live my life for the Lord. That does not interfere with my love for my family and friends. I try to serve people with my best abily, Lord knows I could do better job. I love to learn new things. I study Bible and try to apply it to my life to my best abilities. I aim to be a good mother and sister and daughter and wife and friend.

We are her for God's pleasure. I try my best to do everything that glorifies His name. I am just a regular humanbeing and full of imperfections. I would not make it to the father's house without Jesus, who is my Lord and Savior. I am thankful for every new day.

For myself at least I don't believe I have any more of a purpose than living my life to the best of my ability with the time I have. I live for myself, my husband & family and my community. I do what is in my power to make each of those better for everyone and to bring happiness to them.

The goal of my life is to be a better person today than I was yesterday.

I strive each day to be kinder, more tolerant, friendlier, more compassionate, and more giving.

My ultimate goal is to Love Everyone Unconditionally.

I live my life to produce the most awe inspiring computer generated animations ever produced.

And the goal is to win accolades from the entire world for my unique abilities and talents.

Unfortunately, the reality is my talent isn't that great and the chance of accomplishing that goal is as close to zero as can be achieved and not be zero.

But, that does not deter me.

I have faith.

I try to live my life for The LORD first, my Family second(i count my Friends as Family), and myself third.

But, i can't always keep that the way i want it.
I'll admit sometimes i've put my family first, or myself first....

I have alot to learn, and i hope that i can do so.
