The manager only updates periodically. I never have figured out the schedule, but if you look at the bottom right of the little window you'll see the date and time it was last done. Until it's done again, whatever was showing will remain even though you've read or deleted it, and whatever's new will be a surprise.

its slow system service.so, even after one has viewed the mails, it flashes the same message
