theres a girl i met in town last nite, i really liked her after we got talking and i was lucky enough for her to ask me for my number!! just wondered wether to txt her 1st but everyone i speak to says wait for her to txt me... i should txt her and start things off rite??

No. Give it a day or so. She could be playing the same game though and not txting as that's what her friends are telling her, so this could go on forever. Ideally, the man should always contact the woman first so why not wait until tomorrow and then send a txt to say "had a great time sat night - fancy a drink?" See if she replies and if she doesn't then don't send another txt...

You should text first, but that should be in a couple of days. Otherwise you end up looking too keen or desperate. Give it a couple of days and then see if she is still up for going for a drink - suggest next weekend, that means she'll have to reply to confirm.. gets you talking

you should text her first even though she asked for your number its always good for the man to call or text first it means hes intrested and that hes a gentleman but wait another day before u text her because you dont want to look desperate and then when you text her ask her if she wants to go out again someday well good luck and i hope you and this girl work out

Yeah text her first, but play it cool. Don't come across to keen otherwise it may put her off a bit. If she likes you she will do a little chasing also.
Am no expert with women though so just do what you think is best

when you were in town and you met this girl who said hi first. when it comes to dating, you need to do what you think is best, why take advise from SINGLE friends, there is a reason they are single, you already took the harder step, you said hi, face to face, there is a much greater rejection pain that comes from that vs. not getting a texted reply

Be a gentleman and text her first. Often, it's the guy's job. When a guy texts a girl, it makes the girl feel wanted.

If i were the girl. I would much rather have the guy text me first! I wouldn't want to think I had to ask for his number and now I have to text him first. He doesn't like me as much as I like him. TEXT HER FIRST!
