It is very hard to follow that logic isn't it? If you study it very hard you will get a bad headache. Braver people than I have said that what they think he means is, since Darwin said we are descended for Apes, we are all just animals and can so what we want- kill Jews, shoot cheerleaders, **** around and AIDS is a punishment from God for ******* around.
this logic fails to notice.
1) Darwin never said we are descended from Apes [Apes including Genus Homo ] are descended from a more primitive creature.
2) Millions of people who accept the theory of evolution are Jews and millions more are peace-loving non-genocidal types.
3) Hitler believed that the pure Aryan race was the special creation of God.
4) Most kids who are interested in science are too busy trying to win scholarships to shoot cheerleaders.
5) The AIDS virus appears to believe in evolution because it develops resistance to drugs.

As mutations and evolution _are_ - despite what some will claim - the same thing, HIV is attributable to evolution.

Mind you, that's blaming the messenger for the bad news, isn't it?

As per the Holocaust and Columbine, I've heard the insidious argument before. It's this bizarre logic that the ills of Social Darwinism have _any_ connection at all to Darwin or evolution.

If Darwin can be blamed for the Holocaust because the Nazis misunderstood his ideas, then God can be blamed for 9/11 because the terrorists misunderstood His ideas.

Actually, I can make some sense of this. Evolution can make people feel better than they are, they can feel like they have evolved into a higher form of human. Thus, the "master race" in the Holocaust, and the shooter's feelings in Columbine. They said they felt different, mentally higher than the others. I'm not sure about AIDS.
