Many things can cause lossing memory.

some are healthy like hitting head or an accidents shocking
and some are diet controlling like do not eating honey
and some is psycologic like shockings
and some is depending on you how to keep memory fresh like keeping memorize things contineously.

Drugs lead to memory loss. Poor diet and never exercising mentally nor phisically might also lead to memory loss later in life, with something like alzheimers disease.
