Try some poses at home while you're watching tv or reading, see how long you can hold them, find what's comfortable and what isn't.
Do 3 to 5 minutes of stretches before you start.
Never have your head below your torso if the pose is for more than 3 minutes (unless you like headaches...)
Also - keep your feet and/or arms at or below heart level and they will not "fall asleep" as quickly. Watch pressure points - get hold of a Gray's anatomy book and find where all your pressure points are. If you put pressure on one of these areas you will cut off circulation before long.
So - if you're resting a body part on something, make sure it's not something narrow like a chair back or rail... use the chair seat instead. Also watch where your own parts are resting - an elbow on your knee is gonna kill before too long. Before a long pose starts for real, give all your body parts a shake and let them "settle" into a natural relaxed position, you'll cramp less.
It's ok to use blankets and pillows. Some of our favourite models use props - hats, silky shawls and scarves, ropes, you name it.
Lastly - thank you and bless you for the gift you give to artists. We'd be a sorry bunch of psychos (robbing graveyards, sneaking into morgues...) without you.
And for those who don't think their body style is suitable - hey, if I wanted nude pics of supermodels, I know where to find them on the net. But I prefer to draw REAL people!

When I use models I make sure that they are in sustainable positions. Degas once made a girl dress up like a ballerina and hold her left foot behind the right side of her head. This would be difficult for anybody. When I have posed I guess I've been lucky to have been mostly recumbent....as you know this is much easier....I like Degas but his models are so convoluted that he loses their humanity. I never pose people in hiding, but so that they are in an honest relationship with themselves....if that makes any sense.

Then, whilst the paintings is finished assemble notes approximately the place you took your techniques from, supply examples of different paintings works in keeping with Adam and Eve which you appeared at for suggestion and communicate what factors you took from to help create your man or woman interpretation of the story. Your record could be an in intensity account of how you perceived the morals and hidden messages in the story, and how then you definitely went directly to depict those on your man or woman piece of paintings, with the given references and strategies which you took from different artists from the previous.
