What do you think about the Westboro Baptist Church protesting at military funerals? Their message is that God is killing our servicemen and women because America is too accepting of homosexuality. What's your opinion on this?

I work in graveyards all over oklahoma and i've seen the protests, and they, without a doubt, are one of the lowest forms of communication for these people to get thier (weak) points across on how "they" feel or think (assuming there is a thought process generated by these idiots). They should protest the Jerry Springer show b/c America has become too accepting of these clowns and they promote homosexuality (if gay bashing's you're thing and you want to protest...there's a start for the graveyard protesters... go to the Jerry Springer show).

I think the people from the Westboro Baptist Church are extremely messed up in the head. It's just one big family. The freak who is the preached had about 13 kids, so the church is mostly his family. Sadly, some of his children are just like him.

Consider the source. These people are batty. The reason our soldiers are getting killed in combat is because they are in a war zone. For this preacher to say that the soldiers die because America loves homosexuals is patently loony. I'm surprised no one has bulldozed his church yet, but we can always hope for divine justice, right?

It is man who sends man to war, it is man who kills man. Neither is the act or intent of god.

This "church" is based on one person's frivolous idea. A homophobic who has to have his entire family brain-washed to support such an atrocious public protest with disregard of respect for the fallen and their mourning families. Their adacity to call themselves a "church" and claim this is the hand of god, is just abominable. All because one man disdains homosexuals, and has to make a public preaching about it, aggrandizing himself and his meritless claim with contempt of everyone not in his "church".

I that church is full of crap. We need to be more loving and understanding towards homosexuals and God is not killing our servicemen. That church has it all wrong. I wouldn't bother joining it.

I say they are freaking insane as*holes who should be shot down everytime they hassle a family that has just lost a loved one.
If they wanted to do some good they would camp out on the white house lawn and not hurting the people who had no choice in the mess.

Considering that the church is mostly made up of members of one family, I personally think they're all nuts, but that's just my opinion.

I think it's unkind and unChristian to do such a thing to any family, especially those who've lost loved ones fighting for this country.

There are times and places of protest and dissent. I think protesting at funerals is in bad taste.

My opinion is that they are fools, who would neither know cause & effect if it hit them with a stick, nor do they know decency if it slapped them in the face with a custard tart.

In fact, I should be suprised if that lot could find their own behind with both hands and a torch.
