He was not the only Shakespeare. Shakespeare is a surname and many people shared it across time.

But, yes he had a family:

"Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway, eight years his senior, on November 28, 1582 at Temple Grafton, near Stratford. There appears to have been some haste in arranging the ceremony: Anne was three months pregnant. After his marriage, William Shakespeare left few traces in the historical record until he appeared on the London literary scene.

Just because he didn't have any living relatives, doesn't mean that there wasn't some male way back who moved off and had a family and kept the line going that way. It's not like he just magically appeared one day. Everyone has relatives.

Also, people do change their names.

There could be one reason that people would like to connect them with his great Surname.The figure is legendary in litterateur and I think He had a family and this could be traced in family tree map at stratford -UK.

shakespeare was his pen name,, not his real name. google about him,, they have narrowed the possibilities down to two people.
