I would like to say that it is just because some people are in a hurry or even that they are just too lazy. But I think it is more the fact that they just cannot spell. When I instant message people it is amazing how badly things are spelled and after awhile you just get tired of trying to correct them and their stupidity starts to rub off on me! lol

You're cheating if you use the spell check every time. Are you not able to spell words correctly without help? That's probably the reason a lot of people are a bit dim, they come to rely on things such as spell check. What happens if (God forbid) you actually have to WRITE something on paper? That's right, you're screwed unless you happen to have a dictionary on you. Besides, you can always poke fun at them in your answer. They say pitcher when they meant picture? Well, there's fun to be had there.
For your enjoyment:
Aoccdring to a rsheearch at Cmabridge Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae. I'm asking myself the same question. I've noticed the same thing myself. It's totally depressing. Doesn't anyone go to school any more? If so, what the hell are the schools doing? A lot of the questions aren't even questions anyway, and those that are questions are frequently mind-numbingly dumb. I saw one the other day that asked "Will I get pregnant if I masturbate?" Give me strength!
I have never used the "Check Spelling" tool (in fact I've only just noticed it. Perhaps that is part of the problem - it is not prominent enough.)

Yeah, that does make things a bit difficult sometimes! I think the problem is a mixture of being too lazy to use the spelling check, and also a lot of the posters are not native English speakers. I also find that a lot of people don't find correct spelling that important when using the Internet/email.... Don't know why, but that's the impression I get.

somebody pronounced the spell examine would not owrk yet I used a couple of minutes in the past and it replaced into effective, oh properly. I do understand the unhappiness jof not having the flexibility to understand particularly some the questions with regard to right here by using fact of spelling or perhaps the way they warfare to place together a sentence. I on occasion ask your self what's being taught in faculties those days.

Yea, seriously! I mean, I understand why people spell big words wrong. Or if they are writing in a foreign language or something. But I have seen the most simple words spelled wrong, and it baffles me! I agree with another poster, who says that most people probably just don't care. Which us unfortunate, because questions are so much easier to read with proper spelling and punctuation.

a) Because some people are just lazy.
b) Because they want their question up in a hurry.
c) Because they don't care.
d) Because the 'check spelling' option can't point it out when whole words are missing.
e) Because there are some mistakes that the 'check spelling' option doesn't spot.
I think c) is probably most likely.

maybe it's because some get use to text messaging. anyways, it doesn't matter whether it's wrongly spelled or whatever, according to studies, as long as the first and last letters are in place, even if the rest of the letters are jumbled up, you will still understand it because the brain reads a word as a whole not letter by letter.
so, don't eevn beohtr. it mkeas no dficferene.

Ain't it a rub. They say that variety is the spice of of life, but maybe the Yahoo Answers team can zap time wasters when they click on , or reach through their monitor and throttle 'em!
