Because it usually sounds super shitty and it's at night when i'm not trying to hear all that crap!
If you want to have the bass all loud, make sure you're driving out in the country somewhere, not in a residential area where you will annoy everyone.

bass sound is naturally enhanced in a car since it is a close envinronment (small & closed) which is best for such sound that is why car audio's bass sound is usually louder than home sound system where the area is bigger hence sound energy is dispersed in a bigger area.
