Yes, you should walk at least a couple of hours before attempting to sleep. Exercise is a natural form of adrenaline, so doing what you're doing is akin to having a couple of energy drinks or cups of coffee before trying to sleep - it achieves only in waking your body up. An even better idea, though it may not be practical for you, is to walk early in the morning so you get pumped for the day. If this is not an option for you, try leaving before tea or supper, and sit down and chill out for a bit when you get home to prepare your body to relax. Hope this helps.

My friend, If you do exercise every late night ,it'll cause you can't sleep. It means when you do exercise your body wiil become pep up then you are not tired & you can't sleep & you want to watch telly or the other activities
Personally, you can do exercise let us say in the evening
Good luck

when you exercise especially after your body gets used to a routine you gain energy from it so it probably is the cause of your restlessness, the only thing i could suggest would be to walk the dog at an earlier time for a few weeks and see how it goes

Vigorous exercise before bed disrupts sleep patterns. Its better to schedule your exercise for an earlier time esp if you want to job. Drink a warm glass of milk with a teaspoon of honey before you go to bed so that it will help you in falling asleep. And don't bother with heavy meals before bedtime, that's just too much stress on the stomach.

You exert your self enough, you should actually sleep more sound once the heart rate has slowed down.
Chances are you sleep late in the morning, or take a nap during the day.
Also what keeps your mind from relaxing and stops you from falling asleep ?
Resolve, accept, relax.

It's better to exercise at a bad time than not at all.
But it's probably not great to do it late. Exercise raises your metabolism and gets you going. So if you try to go to sleep you might have trouble.
Your body will probably adjust eventually.

Yeah, I think that's your problem. Hard exercise produces adrenalin...adrenalin is a stimulant. However, going for a late night "stroll" with your dog is relaxing and should help you sleep.

Not if you take a shower afterwards. :-)))
Just kidding. But you would probably sleep better if you read in the evening and exercise earlier during the day.

Yes - Because your metabolism is wasted a great deal. If you do it in the morning after bedtime. Your metabolism would be on a greater rush and serves you better. Besides it will eatup more Fat Cells while your active as opposed to you laying still and snoring.
