with that specs and features, it's surely nice!
33x zoom! really great for those farout shots
800k resolution! is good enough for an amateur
16:9 wide shots! nice feature
a/v input! definitely good (works well in downloading or recording videos from an analog source like vhs, tv progs)
external mic jack is really a good add on (mine has none)
other features are basic with other cams
(it doesn't say if it's bundled with some editing software - really an advantage). Don't forget the service center locations coz it's a big plus when there's one near you (that's a factor how i got mine)
it's even better than my sharp unit! mine is only 10x zoom, 640k pix..... but still i make good home/family movies; using it for 5years now and recording quality didn't changed a bit.
