At what age did your son become interested in looking at pictures of women? Mine is 9 (nearly 10) and he's been cutting out pictures from magazines of women in undies etc. If he was 12, I would say that was totally normal - but this seems young. What do you think.

BTW: Anyone wanting to leave an unpleasant or pervy answer, please get lost. This is a serious question.

Hi babe don't worry it's normal.
Now comes the time to discuss sex and stuff.
Although he's young now make sure he's clued up because it won't be long before he wants to explore.
Safe sex is so important it's one of the main things a parent can do for a child.
Good Luck hun

Mine was around that age too. He did not do alot of cutting out pictures though. He just looked at them. He was allow to hang up pic's of women in his room but they had to be decent enough because he lived under my roof with his younger sister.
I would not worry to much. I would only worry myself if the pictures been cut were of the same thing everytime. Like undies only. lol. My son is now 30 and so far so good.
Take care & have a great day.

My son is going on 12 and he started the looking interest when he was 9. At 10 he started to ask questions about women's bodies and at 11 he had his first girlfriend. I am very open with him and answerhis questions as detailed as possible untill he tells me "Okay, Mom that was a little too much info!" And then I sit and wait for the next question. Good Luck It's perfectly normal!

I am not a mother, but I was a boy once. I was about 10 or younger when I was interested in looking at my mother's book called "Manwatching" by Desmond Morris. It was a fascinating read, especially the pictures of naked women. I brought it in to school to show my friends, and the teacher confiscated it.

Does this help?

I suspect though that I was interested from a much younger age than 9 or 10!

For example I was kissing and cuddling girls from the age of about 6 or 7!

My son was about the same age when he was into WWF wrestling and had posters all over his room, at that point he also started putting up the posters of the female wrestlers. I think its just normal curiousity. I also thought it was a bit too young but unfortunately nowadays kids are exposed to these things at a younger age. He is now 12 and it hasn't really advanced much more since then. Just keep an eye on it and try to be open and honest with him.

at 9 that is totally normal. has he been more emotional or edgy as well? He is probably getting hormones. Some boys do at this age. My son just turned 10 and he has been interested in girls, and looking at them on the TV for about a year now. I was kind of weirded out also. this is the beginning of puberty. I am a bit nervous myself.
blessed be.

Curiosity will come at any age. I know you're probably a little bothered by this, but I assure you it is quite normal. He is just finding the female form to be something of an interest right now...If it becomes obsessive, however, you might want to try taking the magazines away.

I recall my nephew around age 8 or 9 one time tore out pics of pretty women and/or women in bra and underwear from a magazine and mailed them to my husband. He was a very well mannered, quiet and shy kind of kid so we thought it was really cute. Today he is a well rounded intelligent teenager so I would say you have nothing to worry about at this point. Obviously you just have to monitor his behavior to make sure it's not something that totally occupies every minute of his brain LOL...

well i m male but still i want 2 answer this question. scientifically, a male becomes sexually active right after 3 minutes of his birth. also according 2 one survey by a famous magazine (dont remember d name) , on an average , every male (till the age of 45) thinks abt sex once in every 5 min. so ur son is also quite normal. no need 2 worry. but still i wud say try 2 indulge him more in other activities like games , cartoons etc.

I know I'm not a mum , but Donna I think now-days children grow up a lot quicker . With what they see in the papers , on the telly and the PC , its not surprising . I wouldnt say it was a good thing , but it is nothing to worry about and quite normal .
