i have tried often times....alone sometimes in an open villas...?sometimes on a hilly cottage resorts.....and this i consider a wonderful therapy for anyone who has a body image worries.
NATURISM....was used first time by a French man named PLANCHON...

Been there done that.
A long time ago, a city girl I knew as an acquaintance wanted me, a kind of small town man to take her camping. I am not a camping sort of person, so I needed more incentive.
We were scheduled to present at an academic forum in NC.
She had a flier to a Baptist Naturist Retreat in Boone NC, which wasn't too far out of our way back from the forum. She was of an entirely different faith, but somehow thought because it was a Baptist facility, perhaps I could be persuaded to go, since I was from the south. When I saw the flier, no pictures, with the word naturist, of course I wanted to go to this facility with her. As I said, we were only acquaintances, and I thought she knew what naturist meant.
Apparently, she had no idea what naturist meant, and confused it with naturalist.
We presented at the conference, and drove to Boone. After we checked in and met the other guests, she was in an absolute state of horror. Not that she was a prude, but rather it was quite different from her expectations. She pretty much stayed in the cabin until she remembered she had to get to Hillel.
No, there is nothing really sexual about being naked with a bunch of old fat people. It was a funny experience.
Addendum: There is something terribly liberating about removing the textile marks of distinction, and being a person, rather than an ad for a particular style. I have noticed this more at hot tub parties, with contemporaries. Some barriers come down, but some are more sharply delineated.

I would be interested, but I think it would take me a while not to be embarrassed to be naked in front of strangers. I would definitely do it if I was on my own or with my boyfriend on a beach or near a river. I don't think I would like a place where you do your shopping in the nude and where you go to the restaurant in the nude. I mean, you never know how clean other people are.

i spent 2 days at a naturist site in Austria...wow
best thing i have done...it changed my thinking and how i perceive other people... made me more open minded.
Before i was terribly shy, it was a real big deal for me to strip off, when i looked up, not one person was looking my way, all just getting on with their own thing...must have been over 800 people there too.
would i do it again...oh yeh

Absolutely not, and judging by some of the sights I saw the one and only time I went to a beach with a nude bathing area, neither should the majority of those that do!!

Oh yes i do......i dont need to join a site to do it tho....just like baring my bum when im sunbathing..... But i disagree with you saying its not a sexual thing, coz it most definatly is.....specailly when u putting on sunblock with ur partner.....

no i wouldnt.i feel comfortable being naked on my own or with a lover but thats it.what if they had dogs on site too,
