Just a corollary to this question:

The answers should, in theory, be similar.

J T, don't worry - the phrase 'y'all' (and disregard for punctuation) hasn't entered my vocabulary. I just copied the wording directly from the other question to make the point clear that the question is equivalent to the original asker's question.

It's (sometimes) quite amusing watching them rant over here. They've taken the concept of "willing suspension of disbelief" a little far. But R&S is a forum for belief and 'unbelief'...

It's getting very annoying over in Biology though. There was another one this morning asking why all "evolutionists" (sic) are idiots. I dream of an electronic bugspray to shoo them all away from there...

Creationism is hardly a scientific position and they simply vandalise legitimate and interesting questions on evolutionary biology.

To be more accepting of evolution means a creationist has to compromise their beliefs and most are not ready to do that. They think the issue so extremely black & white. Evolution is an accepted scientific theory that is only partially proved but proved enough to be acceptable to the community of science and anthropology. Creationism says ok here is this deity and he scooped up some earth and viola.. here I am. Letting the idea of evolution into their minds as a valid theory while they still try to hold onto the theory of creation creates a grey area most cannot handle.

I find it kind of funny in a way, because yes I was made to attend church as a child until I decided enough was enough; but, all through that what I learned about evolution in biology class and what was said in church from the pulpit never crossed. Perhaps it was just because of the area of America I was raised in...

They should stop the argument. There is no real conflict between the concept of God creating the world and the Theory of Evolution, for in my view it is one and the same thing. What is wrong with the idea that God's creation is an evolutionary process?

Creationists will point to the 6 days creation and 7th day of rest, but when that part of the Bible was written there was a strange concept of time (e.g., people appeared to live for hundreds of years - how credible is that?!) In my humble opinion the 6 days + 1 day business was merely an allegorical, or metaphorical, or pictorial way of describing the process.

Materialism is good in the lab, but can have disastrous effects in the larger world. The Nobel Peace Prize is the result of a scientist realizing his responsibility to man, and God. Survival of the fittest, is the moral issue, and is why the question is asked in a religious forum. Christianity fights battles in a spiritual realm, and the moral imperative of survival is enemy HQ.

Because evolution is SATANIC, that's why!!!

Or, is that Titanic?

In either case, it's not biblical. Pat Robertson said so, so I know it's true.

Y'all.

(Y'all???)

Ed, y'all ain't fixing to go Texan on us, is you?

Okay, I'm from Texas and not used to seeing our favorite pronoun posted on the Internet. I was concerned you had lost your senses and were thinking about immigrating. Don't do it. These people down here are CRAZY!!!!

Y'all.

I don't waste my time arguing about evolution, for the simple reason that it is a theory yet to proven. Go well, and God Bless!

They think that the more they repeat their lies the more people they can fool into believing the lies.

It is the only possible way for them to get their lies into schools, lie, lie often, and repeat, repeat, repeat. After a while a few more will believe the lies and then they will get the lies into school and indoctrinate more with the same lies and more new lies.

They want you to return to God as you want them to turn to the physical world.
In the past victory stands on the side of the strong lion.
Now victory may stand on the side of the meek sheep.
Yes, let us openly, freely, gently exchange views in peace.
