peroxide wash then triple antibiotic cream, if it's an ingrown toenail it has to be cut back, the doc. can do it but if you don't have ins. you can do it yourself, you have to cut it cleanly you cant leave splinters or any little barbs, I use a small stainless steel wire cutter and snip along the side of the nail and pull the thing out. these things run in my family once you get them growing right they will give you less trouble.

Try bathing it in salt water, if this doesn't help after 2-3 days go get some antibiotics!!

First of all is it an ingrown toenail? Do you have alot of swelling and pain? Normally a podiatrist an remove the ingrown and relief will be immediate.

i think u must go to the surgeon and have cut it off. that's what the other do, to avoid it scattered in some parts of your body. no matter if you lost your toe if you are still alive and kicking.
