As the children of the One True God (althought the atheists temporarily deny this fact), we all have to love and to care about each other.
The atheists really care for the theists, they fear that the theists may fall and cause the fall to other people by becoming superstitious, prejudicious, fanatic... in various religions.
Peaceful and loving dialogue on this forum is a great chance. Let us open our mind and heart to each other to encourage the free expressions of all ideas, and as believers in God we can also pray for the divine guidance to reach every soul. I have much hope about the guidance of God, because my wife and many of my friends who were atheists, now become very active servants in the Garden of God.

Because the way others think has a large impact in all our lives.

The reason you get harrassed is the likes of the guy who is asking the question "to all those who don't believe in God, or have doubts" - it is because people will repeat utter crud forever, so very many times, it gets very wearisome.

Have people look down on you, and just look at the freaking fool who answered 'because they feel lost without religion' above me, and you will quickly notice the attitude so many religious people takes toward atheists.

Returning this attitude is what you call "harassing religious people"

There you go. It is not pleasant, it is not glossy or glamorous, but it is true.

The end.

why do you confront the non-believer in a arguing way? Live the Life and spread the Good News of Christ Jesus. The atheists are here because some one or something lead them here . Just take the chance to spread the Good News.

The last ninja has a point...plus atheists cannot argue with themselves they need someone to argue with...thats where you come into the picture, and we all know you'll argue back. So there is actually no point in you asking that question unless you have a clean slate.

"If the religious community had control of TV, movies,or music"

They had control of them for 2000 years. That's why they never existed. Oh sorry, there was ... (wait for it) ... *religious* music.

Anyway, there is no religious "community". There are about 888 different branches of Xtianity, 'cause even y'all can't get along.

Hey that would make a GREAT series for TV: how one man spawned 888 different organizations ... EACH of which claims to have the exclusive truth.

Religion spends time telling atheists that they are wrong and that they need to change. Just returning the favor.

We don't argue over religion. We know we're right. ;)

... Kidding. Mostly because the religious folk tend to interfere with our lives, so we tend to lash out in rational, logical ways... like typing on newsgroups! It helps us feel like we're doing a public service.

Because religion is dangerous for society, and holds back progress.

Attempts over recent years to impose creationism/ID in science classrooms is one example.

And I won't even discuss all the religion-inspired violence, intolerance and persecution.

They want to do what ever they want and not feel guilty. Look at how society has fallen now. If the religious community had control of TV, movies,or music, you wouldn't have the filth you have now.
