Because that is the plan of God, he makes us all how we are for a reason. To challange us.

There is GOD. I belive that some disabled people were put on the earth for a special purpose and a higher reason, and some were just born that way, mans and the devils sins and interfereance can change the genetic make up of a foetus. Havnt you ever wondered who the angels are on earth? You know, that homeless woman you pass in the city or a disabled guy that has to be spoonfed? Try to see with your heart a little more, because you dont know when your path will cross with an angel..... Just look at April Fool above....and read this below.....

DON"T YOU DARE BLAME GOD for what man has done, How many chances do we want. We are born with disabilities because:
Medical interference with nature
Mankind's way of living
Abnormal sexual behaviour
Smoking
Drinking
drugs
You name it we've done it God gave us a guide to the way we should live our lives it's called the Bible. In this book he has warned us of all that I have listed and more. He warned us NOT to take blood in any way shape or form, but no one took any notice, well well and what do we have now AIDS he warned us that man shall not lie with man, this also included women and why, AIDS but no one ever listens and you have the gall to ask a question like that.. He put the world right once before at the flood and very shortly he is going to do it again at Armageddon but a'great crowd' will survive, they are Jehovah's people Yes that's right those 'bloody' witnesses , well There's going to be a few red faces at Armageddon. I just hope I'm there to see it

Siu02rk,
If I had a nickel everytime this question comes up, I'd buy everyone here a Bible.

It all goes back to that event where whatever that fruit was that God said don't, was eaten. He didn't tell Adam, if you do, you'll have wars and all sorts of things wrong with your bodies and you;ll have to work at least 40 hours a week all your life just to get by.

All God did was tell then that they were going to die.

Apparently Adam didn't think about it much, "Die, Schmie."
( I guess!)

But then all of this happened. And we are seeing all this crap, some of us are looking to God to answer for it. It wasn't Him doing it!

But looking to Him, with the idea that He will get you out of it, now that's good stuff! Because God promises all those that trust Him that they will most certainly get out of it.

I recommend that you trust Him. I trust Him and He's done very very good with me. Plus I get a new body that won't die after all this.

Just cus they have a disability doesn't make them any less of a person...we are each individual and are all learning from the things that happen in our life's!...maybe we all, at one point are born to experience disability in one way or another...life is a lesson!

It is a challenge to see if we will still praise Him in spite of suffering, or not being made perfect.
Look at Stevie Wonder. He was actually born sighted, but while in the incubator in the hospital, was blinded before he was taken home after his birth. He could have lived his entire life cussing God for his misfortune, his family could have too. But in spite of this, he praises the Lord, and has been many times blessed because of it. It is to test our faith in God.

You may not believe in reincarnation !!! they were born like that to pay back what they owned in previous life's...
Their disabilities also a scale of guider or the measurement to let people see what the disability mean, for example if in this world...we don't have anyone crazy...then if I tell you that man is abnormal and you and I don't know what crazy acting like????

I've spent 7 years working with people with profound learning disabilities and sensory impairment/ e.g. blind and cant walk/talk etc and these are some of the most open people you ever meet. Theres joe for example who loves to feel the pulse of an african drum and loves to have his hands and feet massaged. He is so open and freely emotional and a pure being with incredible spirit. He is a gift from god and has given me so much pleasure and joy in doing music sessions with him that i truly say these people can give us the experience of true love and devotion. These people are blessed and god is doing us the best service to give them to us and teach us true love.

Every action has a reaction. As thy sow thy shall reap. Good deeds bring happiness in return at one point of time or other. similarly bad deeds result in misfortune visiting us. Suppose i burgle a church cash box and distribute the cash to the downtrodden will the good points be set off agaist bad points ?. NO NO NO The results of good deeds cannot be set off aginst the results of bad deeds. they have separate accounts with GOD If you do not enjoy / suffer the results of good/bad deeds this birth , they are carried over to next birth. That is why children are born with disabilities. i have a disabled son

Catholics teach that because Adam and Eve brought original sin on all of humanity sometimes babies are born with problems because of the stain of original sin. Also sin that the parents did can bring punishment on the parents by the child being born with problems. It is not God's fault it is the devil's.

The classic answers:

1) God moves in mysterious ways and He has a plan for all of us; just sometimes we're not meant to know.

2) God gives us all free will and chooses not to use the powers he has in order that we may turn to him.

Yada yada yada. I don't think that babies are born deformed of their own 'free will', and I wonder what plan God would have by making one baby deformed and not another - or, more to the point, I'm not sure I'd approve of such a plan.

If you want to praise God for the good things in life, you need to be prepared to condemn God for the bad things in life. It's as simple as that. But God-believers blind themselves to that.
