Well, the Syrians got their asses handed to them by the Israelis in the late 60's. I think it would be the same story if they tried it again now.

I think it can not - unless fighitng a dirty war. Lets not forget that Iran will help Syria (as USA will help Israel). So we would have 3 countries in war both armed with hundreds of weapens of mass distraction - nuclear or chemical.

Syrai isn't planning to go into Lebanon and fight against Israel, and Israel isn't planning to attack Syria, so I suspect that we won't find out.

Israel would win any fight as the USA will always help it.
