Well first of all you have obviously no idea what Islam is and you have no idea what muslim countries are like. First of all Islam was already way ahead of it's time compared to other religions when it satrted. It granted women rights that the rest of the world didn't even begin to dream of until last century. It mentions scientific truths that have remained unprovable until only recently with modern advanced technology. Besides that many muslim countries are not wealthy super superpowers like the US is so it's unfair to judge their standar of living with ours. The ones that are rich countries I can't comment on because I've not been their but I've spent plenty of time in Egypt and let me tell you about a typical day in the life of many egyptians. They wake up in thier air conditioned condos and make breakfast on their modern appliances. Heat up some bread in their microwaves. Get dressed and go to work. How do they get there? Well it's not my camel or donkey in fact, they either drive thier own car, hail a cab, or have driver who drives them in their own car. Then they go to work as surgons, chemists, dentists, architects, Buisness managers, Car repair men, electronics technicians, etc... On their break they take out their cell phones and call each other to make plans and communitcate with loved ones, they make bussiness transactions and appointments. Then after work they come home to their air conditioned condos and relax in front of the TV. Of course it takes a while to figure out what to watch when they have 100s of channels at their fingertips with their satelite dishes and recievers. In fact maybe the choice is too much so the decide to watch something on their DVD players instead. After the movies over why not read some news, but what;'s this... no newspaper? Why look their reading it online! And ontop of that it's on a brand new pentium 4 computer. Done whith the news? Look, what's that thier doing now... oh their turning on their camera and chatting with people all over the world thanks to yahoo, msn, and other online chat services. Whew! What a day. If that's 7th century living I can't imagine what the 22nd century will be like they must be an incredibly advanced civilization to have all this in the 7th century. If I were you I'd open my mind and shut my mouth. If you can't say something nice don't say anything at all. At least educate yourslef before making stupid comments that show your real IQ.

i think you should make a trip to a muslim city like Dubai or abu dhabi..
you have a wrong idea about the whole thing men!!!
youll be surprised to read that:
Islam is the second-largest religion in the world and the world's fastest growing religion.[2] The majority of Muslims are not Arabs (in fact only 20 percent of Muslims originate from Arab countries). [3] Islam will soon be the second largest religion in the US [4]
so if they were still in the 7th century that wont be the fastest growing religion in the world?

properly, the "technological know-how" is awful. From clay? ok, possibly Adam, yet this replaced into an thought inherited from the Jews. From sperm right into a blood clot? No. First, there is no acknowledgement of the mummy's egg; that's based on the thought a sperm replaced right into a tiny human -- a hardship-unfastened false impression (pardon the pun) of the seventh century. 2nd, the human embryo is in no way a blood clot. that's in simple terms common incorrect. Then of that a lump: ok, i assume you need to describe the human embryo as a "lump." then out of the lump, bones, after which clothed the bones with flesh: incorrect back. Bones are between the final issues to advance. Flesh comes first, then cartilage, then bones. So, in case you desire to call this technological know-how, i could say that's slightly a stretch.

(These are my personal thoughts and i am no expert).
I believe Islam is a very well indoctrinated faith, so to say. Any religion needs upgrading from time to time. Someone needs to add/remove rules and principles to match the times we are in. However, in the current time who does this?
This is a dilemma being faced by almost all ancient religions today. However, other religions are not as hard-and-fast in applying their rules.
Because of the strong indoctrination practices, i think people following Islam do so with more faith. While this is a good thing, i think they still continue to see everything around through colored spectacles (of Islamic principals).
Probably, this is what causes the friction.
Again, no disrespect meant. This is just a humble opinion.

Think u know best ok no matter if u think this century is best then no problmooo ,,,, we Muslims always change us according to the enviroment...... 21st century provides what.....your sister or daughter walk on streets with the tensions in their minds ,, tension of being raped.... do u know the case of rape in america is repported 40 times by various womens in a an hour and same is the case of robbery.... if u compare this with the regions where Muslims live then i'm sure that u will find that that this rate is very low.... r even eaual to nulll...... so if we Muslims live in peace without this tension of this crime then it is very goood...

Why do fundamentalist Christians want to force everyone to live in the 1st Century?
Why do Orthodox Jews want to live in (about) 1,000 BCE?
Religious nutcases are all the same, why single out Muslims?

why shouldn't it be? Islam works for all times, many scientific facts mentioned in Qura'an are now proved to be true. Islam came 1500 years ago but Christianity came 2000 years ago does this make Christians retarded of course no
