Calendula, nature's most extraordinary healing herb. The name calendula comes from the Latin "calends", meaning the first day of every month. The bright orange flower petals used are an excellent remedy for cuts and wounds, and their antiseptic and healing properties help to prevent the spread of infection and promote healthy tissue growth. The essential oils in calendula petals are an excellent remedy for various skin disorders as well as an excellent moisturizer.

I have the same acne...around my nose and forehead, but mine is worst around my mouth and chin :( I've tried a ton of different things, even Proactiv didn't work. I've found a few natural remedies that have helped a lot. One is taking raw egg white, applying it like a mask for half an hour, then rinsing. It helps clear skin, shrink pores, and prevent excessive oil. My favorite thing by far is a mask of honey and aspirin! Just take a few uncoated tablets, dissolve with a few drops of water, crush, and add a little honey. Apply it like a mask, leave on for 15 minutes, then gently massage and rinse off. It's so good at reducing swelling and redness, cuz of the aspirin. And the honey is moisturizing and makes my skin glow :) Just make sure you do this at night, your face could be red for a while because it's a little gritty. And use a moisturizer with at least 15 spf, because aspirin causes your skin to be more sensitive to the sun. That's also why I do it at night! Besides those, make sure you drink a TON of water. It keeps your skin supple and makes sure nutrients get to the surface. It also flushes toxins (which cause acne) from your body. You should be peeing every 2-3 hours lol. Also...even if you hate tea, drink either green tea or rooibos (African redbush) tea. I recommend the rooibos though. It has 50 times the antioxidants as green tea; it's herbal, and caffeine free. It helps with redness, and might help you sleep better! I'm experimenting with using strongly brewed rooibos as a toner now...it seems to be improving my skin tone, and feels like it's drying out my pimples. I'm not sure where to buy it online, just Google it. (I buy it loose-leaf from an herb shop close to where I live.) Good luck! Hope things clear up :) Whatever you do, don't stress about acne. That only makes it worse. Try what I suggested, drink lots of water, and get at least 7-8 hours of sleep.

The calendula provides effective treatment for most minor skin problems. It is used for cuts, scrapes, wounds, red and inflamed skin, including minor burns and sunburn, for acne, rashes, and fungal conditions. It is helpful for nappy rash and soothes nipples that are sore from breast feeding.
