Love is indescribable. So, people coupled the word love with anything that can show how extremely great love is. And how that person loves his/her lover, indeed. He/ she posses devoted love to his/her partner ,that’s y the person use madly in love coz, only that person or thing colorings his/her day and night.

madly in love means that you are in love without conditions and that you would do anything to prove your love. This also means that your proof may be an immoral or illegal act, which is where the "madly" comes from.

Because when you are in love, you are prepared to do anything you would do in a more sober condition. The earliest text I know about is about 2400 years old and was written by some of the ancient Greek philosophers or writers. I can't say who directly, I will think about it.

Because people are a little crazy when they fall in love - no sleep, not eating, can't think of anything or anyone else except who they love. It's actually a lot of fun.
