first open up your p.c case and check what graphic slot you have ,it will be either agp or pci-express
e-machines are no different to any other p.c,as they use standard motherboards,so if you find you have a agp slot you could invest in a radeon x1600,this is a brilliant card and is quite cheap at around £99,if you are on a budget why not try either a radeon 9550(128mb) at £45 or a nvidia ge-force fx5500 (128mb) at £55
these are good solid performers,and have been used by thousands of p.c users around the world,however if you find you have a pci-express interface then the cards will tend to be slightly more expensive
one example of a good pci-express card is a radeon x800gto
card which would set you back around £150 or a nvidia ge-force 7800gtx which would set you back around £300

The cheapest place for parts I have ever seen is www.atic.ca which is a store in Canada. All the prices are cheap AND they are in Canadian dollars.
