When I was 18 I slipped and fell and destroyed my neck, the pain was incredible! At 36 I finally had to give in and have surgery (the 1st of two fusions) when I lost all use of my left side arm & leg. I now have cavdaver bone on two levels of my neck and a metal plate to hold it all together, I still drop things and drag the left foot when I get real tired and am in pain mgt for the rest of my life to get by. I have only known pain since 18 I am 47 now, does that count? The Dr's say it will only get worse till eventually I will be paralized from the neck down, but for now I keep going and working I have to I have people who depend on me and it is really all I have ever known.

When I burn my leg on a night light.. It didn't have the right size bulb in it and had ended up with a huge blister on my leg that took a very long time to heal .. But still say child birth was worse than that lol

I had an operation to remove a massive ovarian cyst....The pain after that op was out of this world. I kept on pressing the morphine pump so for the next two days I was kind of spaced out.

I was going to answer but after reading what some of these people have gone through, my "pain" seems like a picnic by the lake on a warm, lazy summer day.

I fell down a flight of stairs, and shattered a vertebra. It hurt so bad I peed my pants! They kept me completely knocked out for 3 days, and after 7 years, sometimes it still puts me out of commission for days at a time.
