Just wondering if anyone had some good recipes they can me.

My situation is: dont like anything to fancy i.e $50 entree from fancy resturant

Only cooking for two and one two year old child every thing premixed at supermarket is designed for serving four.

Like to eat fresh and healthy but am definetly fussy. If you sound like me then chances are we'd like the same stuff so send through your recipies plz! Homecook/family secret recipies would be great.

My husband and I always enjoyed lean roast meats, fresh vegetables, and a nice plain starch especially when we had a two year old!(Those foods don't have to touch on the plate!) Rub a couple of chicken breasts, 12 oz steak, or two large(3 small) pork chops with salt, fresh pepper, freshly minced garlic, and thyme--1/2 tsp dried or 1 tsp fresh. Grill or broil until almost done (around 5 minutes per side) and then cover with foil for 5 minutes to rest and allow the juices to redistribute. Microwave a couple of potatoes, heat up a rustic loaf of Italian bread, boil 8 oz. of egg noodles, or steam 3/4 cup of rice in 1 and 1/2 cup of water for a side. A nice salad or microwaved vegetables go well with this.

You might want to check out some cookbooks from the library and experiment. The recipes that make 4-6 servings are kind of convenient for the small household because the leftovers can be frozen in individual containers for healthful lunches. My husband and I were never fond of leftovers but our two year old did like the leftovers mixed up with a little cheese and milk then microwaved as a hot lunch.
