dunno. but if u eat spicy food, ur not fat. lol. that's y most koreans aren't fat. cause we eat a lot of really spicy foods. lol.

I have heard that but have never seen any research associated with it. I love black pepper (which is a "hot" food even though we don't think of it that way) and you aren't supposed eat a lot of black pepper if you have a heart condition because it's too stimulating.
Spicy food may speed it up for a while but you get used to it. My husband loves spicy food--he can eat a plate of habanero chicken so hot I can't even eat the rice from the same plate but he doesn't seem to have a better metabolism from it, and he's constantly looking for "spicier" things to try.

yes, I think it does, bcuz when ur body heats up u r burning calories faster; also when u need to get warm, it burns more calories; so when u r burning calories, your body is quickly metabolizing...
