I read somewhere that Aristotle said that gods were created to keep humans moral and keep them from becoming evil. I don't know what to believe. I'm not those kind of people that hugs my bible. I don't even own one. But I am still a Christian. I need guidance. If you don't have anything nice to say about this, than don't reply.

Jason, I'm glad that you asked.
You have to be very careful what to believe in this world. People can discredit the bible all they want, but in the end, it has more truth than anyone could ever make up. People aren't good enough to make up the bible. It had to come from God.
And about Aristotle, I will quote a Bible verse that is exactly what you are looking for on this topic.
"But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you...Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up." -2 Peter 2:1-3
You have to remember who is guiding all of the non-believers and all of the people who argue that Christianity is false. Satan wants you to go away from God.
God will help you. I know that sounds like such a Christian cliche, but he really will. You just have to ask. He's shown me in a lot of little ways that he is here in my life, and I would never want to live my life without him. I'll pray for you in your search for Him.
P.S.-It may not be so bad to be a "bible-hugger." Start with James and Peter in the New Testement. They will really give you something to think about. I enjoy hugging my bible. I feel like it gives me strength, and I am a completely normal 23 year old. I promise.

I do believe believe in God. The one God with no partners, sons trinities or anything. I'm not a Christian, but a Muslim. Listen to the truth. Islam says God is one ,completely. Not "3 gods united in one!!". God needs no sons, since He is not a human. This is the truth you should explore. Try reading the Islamic scriptures (Qur'an and Hadith), and understand the truth about God.

OK , if your a christian , than you have got to get a bible! And don't wait! You need to be in HIS WORD DAILY! So Get yourself a NIV bible and start reading in John to the end of the book! And the bible is a spiritual gym, and you need to stay in there daily! And then God will manifest himself to you! You said you need Guidance, the word is the guidance! A Christian should have a weapon , and the bible is our weapon!

I really, truely do believe in GOD.
No one has ever been able to show me solid proof that he does not exist. I have read every book Darwin has written, and he himself states that his theories are "Speculative" at best.
I have tho, seen miricles in my life. Things that even the Doctors have no explanation for, nor do they try.
I have watched with my own eyes the very Evil that walks on this earth, and I do believe the Devil does exist.
I have watched stone cold atheiests drop to their knees and pray to GOD to save a dying Loved one, and again to thank him when he does.
We all have to believe in something, even if it's to believe in nothing-ness.
I believe in GOD.

If the gods were created, then who created them?! There is one Creator of everthing, one God. He is everybody's God. He is the only one that deserves believing in and obeying. He will hear if you talk to Him and ask him for guidance. Please do so and you will get to the right path.

yes i believe in god .
the above statement is true and it is also true that god keeps this whole universe united.god has no forms or idol. jesus,vivekananda,shiva,otherislamic gods are all one . we have given them the structure. that's it. the religion has been created by man but god created the humans.all religions are one.

think like this ..
"nothing" changed to atoms and galaxies by no-one ..
then evolution started to creating living-beings without any designer ..
then all things will changed to "nothing" ..
there is not any reason for beginning or ending ..

Today many people don't believe in god anymore.why?because it is to easy to see evil.there must be someone out there that is not evil.

FAITH! If you are a Christian, then you need to re-discover your faith you once had. No one can prove GOD to you one way or the other. You have to make that choice on your own.
