Certainly many people do but I am not one of them. This country (United States) is too easily infiltrated and attacked to worry much about hoardes of terrorists. If the terrorist numbers where a tenth of what is implied, we would be wiped off the face of the earth long ago. Regardless of ones opinion on the illegal immigration issue - fact is that 1.2 million people annually enter the United States illegally. If a terrorist is willing to blow themselves up in a plane, then hopping the border in San Diego from Mexico with a dirty bomb would seem to be a no brainer if they had the numbers and the resources. If they get caught - they blow themselves up and take a good portion of San Diego (pop. 2.8 million) with them. If they don't get caught - they simply go wherever they want. Getting into Mexico isn't that tough - bribery in Mexico is about as common as tipping is in the US so they just waltz in and bribe anyone who challenges them on their way to the US border.

Only that terrorism which is instigated by the U.S. and its allies. While I think that the threat of "terrorism" from other sources is a real (as opposed to imaginary) problem, I think that it is very hyped up and aimed to keep people in a perpetual state of fear. If we're all afraid of what citizens of other counties may do to us and our beloved families, we'll be too busy worrying about them to notice what our governments are actually doing to us. Promoting a "culture of fear" is a political strategy used by the governments of the world against us and much more disturbing to me than potential threats from abroad.

Statistically speaking, I'm more likely to get hit by lightning, run over by a bus, slip and bust my head open in the bathroom, gst cancer, get aids, and a whole host of other nasty things, than become a victim of a terrorist plot. But the gov't likes it when you're afraid, because then you're more willing to give up your rights, which makes you easier to control. I am more afraid of my congressmen than of terrorists.

Everyone is threatened by terorism ......
Terrorism not against a certain person....
It strikes everyone , it does not say you are here and you are not to be striked so you are spared . Everyone are their targets...

P.S. 'You' Does not mean the 'Actual You'....

not as much as some people, I guess because I live in a fairly small city and I've never flown, so I feel that the terrorist wouldn't make me a target

i realize it is a concern, but i am not living my life in fear. i still do my normal things, including taking the subway daily. if you let the fear of something happening stop you from living your life, then the terrorists win by default!

I quite agree with urbanguy.I live my life as usual.I think we shouldn`t let our lives to be run by fear.I know this sounds silly, but it`s what the terrorists want, they want us to live in fear!!
