If you were happy about it yesterday, then you should have every right and reason to be happy today! You should be happy whenever you have sex.....before, becaue you're gonna get some. During, because you're getting it and after, cause you got it.
It's not corny to be happy the day after. It just makes sense. Besides, the happier you are, the more likely you'll be to have sex again!

As for how long to stay happy about stuff, there is no set time, it's all about your personality. Some people are just generally happier people, which is a better outlook IMO.

of course, especially when you feel the the way it should be. It is nice to recall happy moments in our life, sex gives one area of happiness, the best happens in just a second but terribly great. If you can maintain it all week long the better, a month is much better and year will be the greatest.

Why not always be happy about it? What are you going to be mad about it instead?!
If it takes some sort of an event to occur for you to be happy, and you need another event to occur to maintain being happy, that's not a good way to be.
