I would say to stop being so selfish and promoting your interests only. It's time to learn to respect each other, the world and yourself.
Sure, peace through superiour firepower works, for a while, but as all the conflicts of this century show us, everytime you shoot someone to promote your own interests you create another enemy to take their place. It's a never ending circle of death. An eye for an eye has never worked in the last 4000 years, why would we expect it to now?
WWI was continued with WWII because all the fighting never solved the original problems. And then WWII created it's own set of problems as well. Korea is still not over and the war continues at a stand still even today. Vietnam was America trying to "destroy the evils of communism" and "help our neighbors find democracy" yet now the worlds largest communist governments are our allies and our biggest trade partners, because it suits our selfish interests.
Saddam, Osama and the rest were all "allies" of the west when it suited the interests of the west. We trained them, we supplied them, we even fought beside them when we had a common enemy, when they were doing our dirty work.
Now we call them terrorists when they use the same tactics we taught them in the first place against us. Freedom Fighters we called them when they worked for us, now we call them terrorist. I'm sure the British would have called those responsible for the Boston Tea party terrorists as well. In the US they are heralded as heros. It's all your personal perspective based on your own selfishness.
Let's get back to the circle of life where we respect each other and solve our problems without violence whenever possible.
And for those of you who are thinking "yeah, but if you are attacked you should fight back", yes, you are probably right. You can't sit by and watch other people kill you or your family and friends. But again, every time you shoot the guy attacking you, there is always someone, probably someone feeling just as justified in killing as you do since you killed his or her loved one, who is ready to take up and continue the fight.
It has to stop somewhere. If you are honest with yourself and each other, you will soon realize that every time something turns to violence, it's because somebody else never sat down to seriously work out the problems in the first place.
Its up to each and everyone of us to stop the violence. Let it begin with me, and hopefully you as well.

Trillions of dollars are being spent world wide on wars and weapons, whilst many millions of people are starving. What happened to us leaving our kids a world they can be proud of? Let us together put an end to the stupidity of war, and unite in the name of peace!
World Peace is not an unreachable dream. It can be attained... by giving... not by taking! If the 'want mores' can learn to appreciate what they already have; and the 'haves' can help the 'have nots' to become 'haves'... World Peace will be well within our reach!
We, as guests on this planet, have a responsibility to look after it, so that future generations can appreciate the wonders that God created for us. Killing off our planet, is robbing our children of their future!

I'm for PEACE. I'll be telling them, "Why don't you sit back and try to see how many lives are put to death and danger. I'm for the children and what I see is that children are getting hurt in all forms everywhere, it's a shame that you don't notice the children, they are the ones who will take over the world someday and what would they tell their children and grandchildren about their past? Nothing but dying people, guns, missiles, taking refuge and seeing their capital cities being bombed and raided." As the song goes, "Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me."

I already talk to world leaders about the very subject you are asking about. The best way to achieve world Peace is to work together for the sake of everyone and remember that G-d comes first for it is He that created the world and we must all live by His laws.

Yes I'm for peace, and I'd tell the world leaders to duck and cover because we need to get these wars over and we're going to do just that - fast, mean and with more concern about our soldiers then the people who hide our enemy.
