and i'm tripping out with this whole HIV/AIDS deal and i was wondering if i could get aids by that?

If it was fresh blood, you could be mildly concerned. Although the gastric juices in your saliva and stomach would destroy the virus pretty quickly. If it was old, dry blood, don't worry. The HIV/AIDS virus dies pretty quickly after it dries out.
Odds are that you don't need to worry, but if it will relieve your mind, get tested in a few months. Right now is too soon to show anything.

infected blood does not last long in open air. i mean if an infected person is bleeding and a drop of their blood falls on a surface of any kind ie a table, floor, soda can then the chance of that drop of blood infecting another person is basically zero. For you to get infected by hiv from that can someone would have had to have taken a drink from that can directly before you , their blood would have to be sitting on the can . For you to get infected you would have to have a cut on your lip.
Dont forget this would have to be straight away. People kiss people with HIV/AIDS everyday without getting infected . Its just peoples awareness that needs to be worked on. If your not sure , call your local helpline and they will help you. Anonymous if you wish. As i said i dont think you have nothing to worry about unless someone bled on tthat drink a few minutes before you took a drink.

First: Are you sure it's not your blood?
Second: AIDS isn't supposed to be able to live outside the body for an extended period of time.
Third: If by some chance the blood did have HIV and by some chance it was still active then it would depens on whethe ryou had an open cut in your mouth, etc.
If you're really worried, go get a test.

you probably drank your soda too quick and cut your lip if your really concerned and you still have the can take it back to where you got it and show them the blood if its not yours
