I mean be realistic if it is your ex -- they are obviously a ex for a reason. Or do you all believe in the buddy system making the ex off limits?

Err I dunno about you girls, but for guys it is a little weird at first but most of us can get over it if our buddy is with an ex.

It all depends on how you feel about him. If you loved him then yes he's definitely off limits, but if you guys went out for a couple weeks of whatever and your totally over him then I guess it's up to you if you have a problem with it. The only reason a lot of girls do the whole off limits thing is because it about respecting your feelings. If you don't want her to then she should respect you. If you don't have a problem with it then it's up to her what she does. One thing is for sure though don't tell her you're okay with it if you're really not because it will tear apart your friendship. I know first hand.

I probably would want my friend to not like that person either, if I had a bad time from the relationship or marriage, and confided it to the friend. However, if this friend wants to try the water, then she has been warned and she is really on her own. If you are really over someone, you will not care. The further away the better. I may not want to be around that friend as much, however, just to not have to hear anything, or be tempted to tell my personal business, due to her being tempted to tell. It is just better to put the friendship on hold. They may be better for each other that I was, so time will tell. So will the friendship.
