Well you first need to be noticed by the guy you like. Yes unfortunatly there is a little 'gameism' involved sometimes...
Once noticed don't be toooo easy, or aggressive. But do be around. Find out what his interests are that are similiar to yours and brush up on those.
Some tips:
~ use 'sticky eyes' that is hold his eye contact a little longer than normal...
~ Use his name when you talk to him

i'm shy too...but anyway, the way i see it...you can always smile to people.
if he approaches you, just be yourself and be friends first. then who knows...
if all fails, get friends online and who knows you'll meet the one...

i am a guy. first some advice. DO NOT be so forward. personally i do not think it is rite for a girl to ask a guy out but w/e. if u are too forward...ull scare him off. he'll be like whoa wtf
