Double yolk eggs infrequently hatch. it is not going that the egg will incubate to hatch. maximum amateur breeders get all excited whilst they candle a double yolked egg questioning they gets twin chicks yet they are consistently upset. It occurs very seldom. the two yolk eggs, at a similar time as they're going to in many cases strengthen to approximately day sixteen of the 21 day cycle will in many cases end interior the death of the two coming up chicks. it relatively is via fact the egg shell isn't properly appropriate to preserving twin embryos.

I raised pigeons for years and I have seen "twins" once. Eggs of my own that have had two yolks always seemed to break--the shell just isn't strong enough.
A guy in our club suggessfully hatched and raised babies born of one egg, and the young were unusually small.

There wouldn't be enough room inside the egg for both embryos to develop properly and if an embryo doesn't grow correctly it dies, sometimes called "quitting". When the chick reaches the point of hatching it occupies all of the egg so there would not in any way be enough room for two.

I suppose if you let it hatch it would be a cute little set of twins.
