help me understand what is the problem with islam, if any. is there no problem or must something be done?

Islam has no problem. The problem is ignorance, vengeance,greed and political dispute.

The media keeps on showing what they think the people want. And the people love someone to hate, a group to show that they are more advanced, better. The Muslim world, wrapped up in political agenda, with overwhelming discontent for America, gets vengeful and starts to support and commit acts of violence, making them the perfect target for the media. The people, refusing to actually study Islam, blinded by their ignorance, somehow create (mis)conceptions about the religion.

The problem with islam is that they believe they must convert the entire world to their beliefs, by force if necessary, and those who they can not convert, must die. Everyone knows this, yet they still believe that islam is based on peace. What craziness! Religion in all forms must go away, and people must open their eyes.

Historically, people and nations pursuing this path of behavior have ended up in self-defeat and self-destruction.

The 9/11 attacks and religious doctrines have no common ground. Hourly paid intellectuals turned guardian of approved truth, allege that Islam breeds terrorism. The Western mass media complements the scientifically discovered notion to poison the public perceptions and source of judgments against the Arabs and Muslims. The Neo-Conservatives helped to rob the humanity of its human heritage. The perception of ‘radical Islam’ was invented and enhanced by the ‘fear’ of terrorism and as a precursor to attack Muslims.

Muslims, want to turn the whole world to Islam by any means. That is the problem.

I think, its imperative that Muslim clerics, who hark for 7th century value system, should be informed of the values of todays world.

Original sin- How can someone believe that man is anywhere worthy of going to Heaven simply by being a human being and God's infinite power to forgive sin? Of course God can forgive all sin, there is no question in that. He made man perfect, and man fell from grace by sinning. Adam turned his back on God, and you expect God to simply just forgive? Man CHOSE to sin and continues to CHOOSE to sin. That being the case, God made it where we can CHOOSE to either continue being a sinner or to accept salvation. No-one is worthy of gaining access to Heaven except through the cleansing blood of Jesus.

Atonement- Adam asked forgiveness and it was so? No-one disputes that, no-one disputes that anyone can be forgiven of sin, the problem is that God and Heaven are perfection. There is no room for anything short of perfection. We can be forgiven, but that means we have sinned, which right there makes us imperfect. On Judgement Day, even if you prayed for forgiveness as you die and are forgiven, you are still imperfect because although you are forgiven of sin, you are imperfect in God's eyes because you HAVE sinned. To be perfect, you would have to have NEVER sinned. On Judgement Day, those that are saved will be washed with the pure blood of Jesus, and that is what will be seen, that perfect blood of Jesus. It is one thing to be forgiven, it is something totally different to be made perfect in the eyes of God to gain admittance to Heaven.

Some of these people claim they are of Islam when even Islam says they aren't.

Sometimes... simply said, different people want to hurt and kill you because you're different. Sometimes you want to hurt or kill them for the same reason. Don't give into intolerance!

Dont judge a religion because of its followers, because many at times, the followers themselves may not be knowing the Real message of the religion. judge a religion from its scriptures, from authentic, un-biased sources.
