Checked baggage IS searched and has been since 9/11. All checked baggage is X-Rayed and about 25% is opened for manual inspection. For this reason, you must not lock your bags. If they are locked, the inspectors will break the locks in order to open your bags.
I'm a very frequent flyer and about 25% of the time my bags have the inspection card from TSA inside when I get to my destination.

It would not be impractical with a timer - you would not even have to be on the flight or near it to set the explosive off - and YES they should check all baggage!@

circulate to the United information superhighway website. (google united & it comes up). It relies upon on the class of fee ticket you're flying. You pay to your luggage the two at examine in or whilst your fee ticket is offered; so it relies upon if the Gov paid for it, if no longer you will ought to. at the instant is it $25 for the 1st checked bag for each passenger (in case your son does not have a value ticket, he does not get luggage-if he's on your lap; if he has a value ticket he gets luggage, so 2 luggage for 2 of you is $50). the motor vehicle seat is checked like luggage. Your pc ought to circulate on your shop on and can circulate by using protection separate all via itself. the size are on the internet; the burden in line with checked is 50# each and each bag.

Absolutly. I don't see why they wouldn't. If someone is going to try to sneak anything it is going to be in their luggage. Not that I am a terrorist but you can put a bigger bomb in a suitcase than in a shoe.

They already do if they feel they need to after they put it through an X-ray, and have a dog sniff it.

They do now. I routinely find TSA cards in my luggage saying that it has been inspected.
