When you're younger crash diets, etc. are not always healthy. The best thing to do is get more exercise.
If your mother gives you something to eat just limit yourself to healthy portion sizes.
If you think you are overweight, it might be best to go to your doctor, get weighed, measured, etc. and then talk to you mom if there's a problem.
Those expensive diets do not necessarily give a growing person all the nutrients and vitamins they need. And a younger person sometimes appears pudgy while they are still growing as their body is storing the necessary energy for a growth spurt.
Losing weight is about eating regular meals in healthy portions and exercising. But not overdoing it. Not skipping meals.
You don't want to develop a health problem or an eating disorder.

Eat the vegetables first. It won't hurt you to eat a meal every now and then if you are limiting your intake the rest of the time. You'll still lose weight. Turn on music in your bedroom and work out. I did it when I was a teenager. Use the track at your school after hours and go jogging. Physical activity will burn off a lot more calories and help you lose weight so much faster than just limiting what you eat. Explain to your mom that you want to eat healthier. She should want to comply. It's not something most parents hear.

You can limit how much of it you eat (eat more of the veggies than the starchy stuff, and don't eat too much of anything) and you can exercise. You could also ask her to help you lose weight by cooking healthier meals - the odds are pretty good she's worried about her own weight too.
If she is, that gives you a chance to do something else that will help you both lose weight: you can go exercise together. It could be something as simple as going for a walk every day, or you could sign up with a gym. Doing this together will help you get closer, make it more likely that you'll stick with your program, and lose the weight you want to.

Exercise after meals for fifteen minutes to bring down your blood sugar and burn off calories. If your mom insists you eat something just eat a small portion, but try to stay close to the food guide pyramid for your age. I had no idea how important it was during my younger years to eat right and the effects it will be showing in my future. You like your teeth don't you? Drink milk and take a multivitamin also.
Aerobics 4 times a week sure helped me through high school also.

Hmm.. i think i've the same problem as you. But fret not, just hit the gym as often as you can. And if the gym gadgets are arranged in universal method, just do one round of them each time u enter the gym.
Cut down food contain much sugar, flour, salt and msg. Most probably those like tibbits, bread, noodles.
If your mum gives u something to eat, well, tell her you are on diet, but if she says that its ridiculous, well, just bite a few of it and say you're not feeling well to eat ALL of them. Haha~

I would suggest that you inform people that you're losing weight first?
And then note down all the stuff (everything you eat) in a diary for about 1 week.
Cut out on all the sugary drinks and foodstuff and change those with fruits.
Drink more water.
Exercise by just moving more till you're used to the extra walking. And then consider taking up a sport or just swimming to tone your body up without stressing it too much.

if you are young adult you can just say to mom no!
if mom will give you too much food or food you dont like just dont eat this, or eat as much as you would like and leave table, tell mom you are full, i do it since i was kid, for example when i was like 5 ive eat meat and then went to toilet and spill it and flush;) but as young adult you can just say NO :) you are free, it your mom would try to make you eat you can always call Police and says that you are abused to eat while you do not want ... i dont know if this will help but might be funny.
