The 'sanctuary order' for Los Angeles is being challenged in court and so far the case has survived a ruling on the pleadings (meaning that if they are able to prove everything they say in the complaint they could win.)
Also, the Republicans in California are going to have Town Hall hearings to 'find out' what people think about the fact that Los Angeles alone spent over $1 billion dollars last year for services for illegal aliens, and California spent over $10 billion dollars for services for illegal aliens.
This must really worry Speaker of the House Nunez because he yipped something about the Republican Congressmen being 'vigilantes' for holding the hearings.
Granted that a 'vigilante' is someone who takes the law into his own hands, isn't that what a legislator is supposed to do?
This is right up there with the Senate Speaker calling the people in San Diego who are against illegal immigration 'crackers'.
It's becoming very entertaining in California, actually. I don't know how much it will or won't impact elections in November, but it is definitely not 'business as usual'.

The lawmakers here in N.C. have made it tougher to get medicaid, medicare by requiring proof of citizenship, also the state agencies must have proof of citizenship, AND now you are required by state law to provide a valid American birth certificate & Social Security card in order to apply for a drivers license. Whether these measures result in much change remains to be seen.

Who cares? The big companies that use this cheap labor have bought off all the politicians and policing agencies so there is no enforcement of the laws we already have.
If you are not a big, fat, rich cat you don't matter in America anymore.
We are changing our economy to be just like Mexico anyway, so eventually it will be one big mess.

I am in California where we are inundated with millions of illegals here from Mexico. All the citizens here are begging for the laws to change.

No, and why bother since they don't enforce them on a national level where it counts. They don't even enforce them here in California so expect no impact anytime soon
