If you know you are depressed maybe you should try to get some sort of help about it? You can sit there and ask what you should do with having friends you don't feel you are supportive but that isn't going to help you with your depression!

Alot of times people start out being the caring, supportive friends but then when they can't help you (because many times it is chemical or many issues all rolled into one) and anything they suggest is dismissed (because you are depressed) they get frustrated and say "Oh they must WANT to be depressed." Or maybe they think you aren't doing anything ACTIVE to not be depressed and are wallowing in it?

Any which way you cut it...you are the only person that can change and be responsible for helping yourself. Go to counseling or get on medication just to even out your moods? Try to do something proactive towards feeling better!! And if you need to...explain to your friends what depression is!!! Good luck!

Depression is not your fault. Those "friends" don't sound like good friends. If you do feel depressed and it is affecting your relationships than please see a doctor. There are medications or treatments that can help. I know because I suffer from depression, and I was really hurting until I decided to see my doctor. Since I've been on anti-depressants (it took several weeks to really feel the effects) I've felt much better. I wish you the best. Take care, and keep smiling!

I was depressed for a while and no meds seemed to help.

I had to make some significant life changes to feel better. I started getting out and being more active, quit my job, got closer to my family, and started finding the things that I enjoy doing.

people who are depressed ususally don't know if it's their fault or not...therefore real friends shouldn't blame you! Real friends help cheer you up when you MOSTLY NEED IT!
I would perhaps ignore them for now and find friends I could trust on helping you in your situation.....
cheer up! :)
wear white and bright colors even if it doesn't suit you...watch funny movies..even if you're watching alone! Go to http://comics.com and sign up and get your favorite comic strips emailed to you! A little smile every day won't hurt.
If you truly are depressed and you know it...then that is one accomplishment because now you know that you need help. Don't worry be happy!

It is not your fault. Talk to a doctor about getting some medication. I did. It helped alot. In the mean time, check out liquid television. Try the "Snipe the Drunken Waldo"game. I got a good laugh out if it.

First of all, let me say that I am not a psychologist.
Deppression is normal, but if it lasts to long or becomes a deep deppression, then you may want to see a counselor. Everyone gets deppressed at one time or another, it's nothing to be worried about.
On another note, it sounds to me like there may be something wrong with your friends.

How discouraging for your own friends to blame you. There are so many variables that play into depression. It is time to look for resources to assist and support you. Any combination of diet, exercise, medicines,, hypnosis, meditation, massage, stress releiving behaviors will help. Find qualified professionals to help you.

That's crap. If your depressed they should be trying to figure out how to help you. Not blaming you. If they were good friends they would want to make you feel happy
