cataract is usually treated when YOU want it ie when you feel that your vision is hampering your personal/professional activities..............otherwise it is usually not an emergency.
treatment is v simple now a days by Phacoemulsification under local anaesthesia which is a microsurgical technique with the adv of short op and recovery time and being painless
go and consult your doc for what is best for u...

well, not sure...short of surgery...but I would say diet is important and eye rest...to live with them....wearing sunglasses(the right ones that don't hurt your eyes) so it doesn't get worse.
It may be possible with the correct diet to actually reverse this condition....not sure what that combination would be, but I know that carotene would be in there(carrot products), vitamin A

there are some eye drops like 'catalin' which slows the process of opecification of the lence in some cases ,but cure is by removal of lence,replacing it either by internal ocular lence or correction by eye glasses
