Without having to cut it out by hand. For example how could I take my daughters picture and lift my daughter from it and just have her on a white background. Is the only way to cut it out? I have paint shop pro if its possible to do it on there. Thanks in advance for the help :)

open paint shop pro then open the photo. mow open the lasso tool its the 7th one down looks like a noose. set it to freehand. now use your mouse and trace around your daughters pick . go slow do the best you can dont need be perfect.when gone around to where u started release mouse button and go up to edit and click copy. the go to edit and click paste as new image
.her pic is now on a whit back ground
now select the eraser tool and set sixe to 10 and clean up the edges a bit
. then you can soften them a bit as well. now go to layers down to merge click on merge all. this will make it all one layer
your done...

download Adobe Photoshop free trial for 30 days...it has this "extract" function...its amazing....
