Mousse it and blow-dry it with your head upside down, all the while brushing from your nape up to your crown.

Then style it and spray, if you like. It should retain some volume for a while, unless it rains or is terribly humid.

Other than that, you might want to accept your straight, flat hair and find a style that takes advantage of straight, flat hair.

You should apply a styling mousse and a root booster at the scalp (like REDKEN GUTS). Also, try keeping the conditioner away from the scalp, towards the middle and ends of your hair. This will prevent weighing down at scalp. Keep your ends trimmed, use professional SALON products, and keep your hair treated with moisture and protien. I would also try using a larger round brush at scalp while blow drying, or even velcro rollers at scalp while drying. And use the products as well!

It is so funny. If one has straight, flat hair, she will move heaven and earth and damage her hair in the process to achieve a curly, full look.
If she has curly, full hair, she will destroy it with harsh products and damaging torture devices like flat irons to get it straight and flat.

Why not just embrace your natural texture? Wear it long and smooth and super-shiny. Let it flow down your back and watch the girls who spend mucho bucks and hours and hours trying to get that same look weep and knash their teeth in absolute jealousy.

Layers. Curling irons. Shampoo and no conditioner. or a leave in spray conditioner. Try Enjoy products revitalizing volumizing shampoo and conditioner.

Have you tried root lifter styling products? Spray on wax? Hold your head upside down and apply these products, flip head over, style, use a good finishing product and see how that does.
