You can use VIA Rail (Kitchener Station) from Union Station in Toronto. You can also use Airways Transit from the Airport.

UofW has a decent ride-share program... look for notices by the Bombshelter.

Greyhound is the cheapest...if you buy your ticket for the day of travel and plan on returning on the same day
