i dont have any software to download (disks etc.) i was changing some info on some files of mine the computer froze, then i couldnt use my mouse anymore,

Hold the mouse up in front of the camera on your computer and say, "Computer, this is the Mouse." after that the computer should recognize it on sight.

try restarting your pc if that dont work shut down the pc if still no joy just buy a plug n play mouse i have one has no ball in it just a light and its great its not a wireless mouse there crap and i dont need any driver software for it i can use this mouse on any pc

Try restarting the computer and check if the cable is still connected or if other mouses work. If they, don't then there is a problem iwth your computer.

it is not from the mouse, recently maybe you have changed some thing with the network or hardware which caused that problem, you must try removing that hardware and remove all network cables and try again.

go to device manager, look for your mouse, unistall its driver and restart windows. to go to device manager go to start - control panel - system - hardware - device manager
